  • How can I browse through your villas?

    You can use the filters on the left of the page to narrow your search according to location, group size, or preferred dates. You can also filter according to category, such as holiday type and preference.

  • How do I know if the villa is available when I want it?

    Our villas have up-to-date online calendars, so you can instantly see whether your villa is free for your preferred dates. If your preferred dates have already been put on hold by another client, you can place an option for these dates and will be notified if the villa becomes available once again. You can also get in touch with our Villa Specialists (via email, telephone or chat) to find out more.

  • Do you offer any flexibility with arrival days or length of stay?

    Usually check-in takes place on Saturdays or Sundays. In high season bookings must be a minimum of seven nights. In the low season this is reduced to five nights. However, you can always get in touch with our Villa Specialists to discuss more flexible options. If it is possible, we will be happy to help!

  • Are floor plans of the villas available?

    Yes! We include floor plans of every villa on the villa’s webpage so you can easily see the layout of the property. Just click on the “Rooms” section of the webpage and see a detailed description of the layout as well as the floor plan.

  • Can I read reviews of the villas on your website?

    You can find reviews written by previous clients on each villa’s webpage. These are a great way to understand how other guests in the past have enjoyed their villa holiday.

  • Are your villas equipped for children?

    Some of our villas are particularly suited to children with features they will enjoy. If you need a cot or a high chair you can request one during the booking phase or at a later stage before your arrival.

  • Are your villas suitable for elderly guests or those with mobility issues.

    Some of our villas have facilities that are well-suited for guests with mobility issues or the elderly. If you have any specific needs, please discuss this with your Villa Specialist.

  • Are small infants included in the villa's occupancy?

    Children under three years of age are not included in the villa's occupancy. A villa for 10 guests means 10 adults, as infants can sleep in cots. Please ensure that you mention any infants when making your booking.

  • Where are the villas?

    Our villas are found all over Sicily. Great locations are guaranteed – either with classic views or close to some of Sicily's best sights! You won't find exact villa locations on our website for security reasons. However, you can see the area in which the villa is found. As soon as you have made your booking you can see precisely where the villa is with the exact GPS coordinates.

  • Do you have any pet-friendly villas?

    Yes! Some villas are pet-friendly so you don't have to leave your pets at home.

  • What sort of experiences do you offer?

    We have a wide range of experiences for every taste! Whether you love food, adventure, history or nature, there's something for you! Enjoy a boat trip along the coast, or learn how to cook some traditional Sicilian food. There's something for everyone! Some experiences are only available for guests who have already booked a villa with us.

  • How can I find out about your experiences?

    Our experiences are divided by category, so you can search according to your passion. All information is clearly given, including what is included in the experience, the timings, prices and terms.

  • How do I know if the experience is available?

    Send an enquiry and we will get back to you if the experience is available for you on your preferred dates.

  • Are the experiences suitable for children?

    Children will love some of the experiences we offer. If an experience is not suitable for children, we will always make this clear in the description.

  • Can you help with flights?

    We do not arrange flights but details of air travel to Sicily are available in our Travel to Sicily section.

  • Can you organise car transfers?

    Yes! We can organise a transfer from the airport to your villa. Once your villa is booked you will be able to check the prices on our website. This is a great way to remove the stress of arriving at your villa, and works well in combination with an in-villa rental car delivery.

  • Can you help us organise events?

    It is possible to organise events such as weddings at select villas. If you want to arrange an event during your stay at one of our villas, discuss it with your Villa Specialist who will help!

  • Will I receive a voucher for my booked experience?

    Once you have booked your experience you will receive a voucher with details of the experience including dates, times, contact numbers and any additional necessary information. This can be found in the “Travel Documents” section of your personal Client Area.

  • Who should I contact if I have questions about my experience?

    If you have any questions regarding your experience, you can always get in touch with your Experience Specialist via email or chat in your Client Area.

  • What happens if I need to cancel an extra experience?

    It depends. Cancellation policies vary and all details of your chosen experience - and its cancellation policy - will be explained at the time of booking. Make sure you thoroughly read the Terms of your chosen experience, or ask you Experience Specialist at the time of booking.

Booking, Payments, and Costs

  • How do I book a villa?

    You can easily and quickly book your villa online. Choose your villa, choose your dates and start the booking process! Enter your group information, required bedrooms and payment details. Once payment is processed, your villa is reserved! You will then have access to your Client Area where you can manage your booking. Alternatively get in touch with a Villa Specialist and make your booking via the phone or email.

  • What methods of payment do you accept?

    Villatravellers accepts payments made with credit/debit cards (Visa or MasterCard), as well as bank transfers.

  • When do I pay the deposit?

    The deposit (30% of total cost) is paid at the moment of booking. This is paid to reserve the property for your preferred dates. If you are making a villa booking less than 60 days before your arrival date, 100% of the total cost is paid at the moment of booking.

  • When is the final balance due?

    The final balance must be paid at least 60 days before your arrival. If payment is not made by this time Villatravellers reserves the right to cancel your booking.

  • Can I share the payment with others?

    Yes! You can share the payment with other members of your party. At the moment of booking you can add other payees by adding their email address. They will receive a payment request via email from Villatravellers. The Booking Representative must pay at least 30% of the total rental cost. The other member of your party must pay their share within ten days of the payment being requested. Payment can only be made by credit card and this option is only available for bookings made at least 60 days before arrival.

  • How do I get my Invoice?

    You invoice can be found in the “Your Payments” section of your dedicated Client Area. All documents linked to your booking and all payments can be found here.

  • Can I choose which currency I use to pay for my holiday?

    All payments must be made in Euros. We list prices in different currencies for information purposes only.

  • What is included in the rental price?

    Rental prices include taxes, water, gas, bed linen, towels (bath, pool or beach) and a welcome pack with basic food and goodies (contents vary depending on the villa). Some villa rental prices include all electricity charges, some do not: this is always specified in the villa pricing panel.

  • Will there be any further costs?

    In case of substantial damages to the villa, part of your refundable security deposit could be charged to your card. Extra electricity charges, as well as any extra services you may have requested before or during your stay (i.e. extra cleaning) can also be charged to your card, or be paid by cash at the villa. All details of any extra costs are stated on the website. Please check the extra’s terms to ensure you have cash available if necessary.

  • What is the Refundable Security Deposit?

    The Refundable Security Deposit is in place to cover the cost of any eventual damages that occur during your time at the villa. If damages are found a charge will be made to cover the cost of replacement/repair. If there are no damages then the full amount of the Refundable Security Deposit will be returned to your account.

  • How do I pay the Refundable Security Deposit?

    The Refundable Security Deposit is held on your credit card. The hold take place around two weeks before your arrival at the villa. If no damages are found the hold will be released five working days after your departure from the villa.

  • Can I get a discount?

    Villatravellers do sometimes offer discounts. Keep up to date by looking at our website, or sign up to our newsletter for all the latest news and offers.

  • I have a Promo Code. How can I use it?

    You should use your Promo Code at the moment of booking to take advantage of your discount. Insert the code when making your booking and your discount will automatically be applied.

  • I forgot to use my Promo Code when paying my deposit. Can I use it for the final payment?

    The Promo Code can only be used at the time of booking. If you forgot to use the code when making your booking the discount cannot be used any more.

  • How do I book an experience?

    Booking an experience is simple. Immediate online booking is not available, but you can send us a request for your preferred dates. Enter your credit card details and once availability is confirmed, payment will be processed and your experienced is booked!

Your Client Area

  • What is the Client Area?

    The Client Area is your dedicated, personal area with all the information you need for your upcoming villa holiday or experience.

  • How do I log in?

    Once your booking is confirmed you will be given log in details with which to access your Client Area. Complete your booking making your final payment in this secure area and add your travel details.

  • What information is in the Client Area?

    The Client Area is your go-to place for all information. You will have access to your Villa Guidebook full of helpful hints about the property. You can also create an itinerary of local sights you want to see using our Sicily Guide. The villa’s GPS coordinates are in this area, and you can create your own personal arrival map from the airport. All invoices linked to payments are stored in this area, as well as the Villa Voucher, Experience Voucher (if booked), and Security Deposit Receipt.

  • Can I book extras through the Client Area?

    Yes! If you want to book extras – such as baby cots, high chairs, extra cleaning – during your time in a villa then log in and make your booking straight away in the Client Area! Please book your extras in good time before your arrival as some - pool heating, for example - can take some time to set up. It is always best to give Villatravellers as much notice as possible for any extras required.

At the Villa

  • When is check-in?

    Check-in is from 4:00 pm. On certain occasions, and not during high season, an earlier check-in could be arranged. Late or early check-in must be confirmed with your Villa Specialist well in advance of your arrival. Some villas request an extra payment for late or early check-ins. This will be stated on the villa’s webpage.

  • What are the arrival arrangements?

    Please get in touch with your Local Manager when you are on your way to the villa, so the Property Representative can be informed of your time of arrival. Please ensure you have your travel documents (property voucher and refundable security deposit receipt) to present at check-in.

  • Who will be waiting for me at the villa?

    The Property Representative will be waiting for you at the villa for check-in. They will welcome you to the villa, show you around and answer any questions you may have during check-in. Your Local Manager will be available on the phone at any time during your stay.

  • Who can I contact for assistance?

    Your Local Manager is available via the phone or WhatsApp 24/7 if you should have any difficulties. You can find their details on the Villa Voucher in your Client Area.

  • Can we organise any experiences when we are at the villa?

    We ask that any experiences are requested with at least 48 hours’ notice. However, we will always try our best to accommodate any requests. Experiences can be arranged in your personal Client Area online.

  • What is the welcome pack you provide?

    The welcome pack varies for each villa, and the contents are decided by the villa staff. However, they usually include provisions for your first few hours as well as some essentials. You can expect some basics such as olive oil, some coffee, water, salt, and sugar. The Welcome Pack means that you can be a bit more relaxed about your arrival at the villa, and we suggest that you check what basics are found in the villa, then head to the supermarket to pick up more provisions according to your needs.

  • Are personal products provided in the villa?

    Personal products such as shampoo, conditioner and shower gel are not included. However, you will be provided with basics such as hand soap, washing-up products and laundry detergent.

  • Can we book a shopping delivery service?

    Certain villas offer a shopping and delivery service. This will be stated on the villa’s webpage. To make use of this service, please get in touch with your Villa Specialist who can arrange everything together with the villa staff.

  • What else is provided in the villa?

    All details of villa equipment and facilities are provided on the villa's webpage. If you need more information, please get in touch with us and we will be happy to help.

  • Are the pools open all year round?

    Pools are usually open from around May to October, when Sicily's weather is at its very best. However, if you wish to use a pool during the low season please check to see if individual arrangements are specified on the villa page.

  • What happens if we damage something at the villa by accident?

    We understand that accidents sometimes happen! If something is damaged, the money held as the security deposit will be used to cover the costs. The amount due will be discussed before any charges are made.

  • What happens if there is a disagreement on the damage with the property owner?

    Villatravellers will act as an intermediary between the property owner and the client should there be any disagreements. A fair outcome for both parties is always our intention.

  • What time is check-out?

    Check-out must take place by 10:00 am. If an early check-out is needed, please arrange this with your Villa Specialist prior to your arrival in Sicily or with the Local Manager as soon as possible during your stay.

  • How does check-out work?

    Check-out takes place at 10:00 am. The Property Representative will arrive half an hour before check-out, 09:30 am, to inspect the villa. Please ensure that all your party are fully packed and that the villa is ready for inspection one hour before your check-out time. It is necessary to fully complete the check-out procedure in person. This process gives you an opportunity to discuss any damages and their associated costs with the Property Representative. Before you leave you must complete and sign the security deposit receipt with the Property Representative and keep your own copy for your records. If the customer neglects to carry out the check-out procedure in full, Villatravellers has the right to make a charge to the customer's credit/debit card should any incontestable damages or extra costs be found.

  • Can we arrange an early check-out?

    If you need to leave first thing in the morning due to your flight, we can arrange a check-out on the evening before your departure. The Property Representative will come to complete the check-out procedure and sign the security deposit receipt with you. Please leave the house in good condition as you will be charged for any damages found after your departure. Some villas request an extra payment for early check-outs. This will be stated on the villa’s webpage.

  • Can we have a late check-out?

    Late check-outs are sometimes available, although we cannot guarantee this possibility. Get in touch with your Villa Specialist to discuss whether this option is possible for you.

  • Why should I visit Sicily?

    A holiday in Sicily is unforgettable. With perfect weather for the majority of the year, beautiful beaches, atmospheric towns, stunning architecture, delectable food and an incredible past, what's not to love! Sicily has something for everyone.

  • How long does it take to visit all of Sicily?

    It could take a lifetime! Sicily is the largest island in the Mediterranean and there is so very much to see. Travelling across the island takes several hours.

  • How do I choose which area of Sicily to visit?

    Sicily offers so much - there is a huge range of beach types, landscapes, activities, cuisines and historical sights to enjoy all over the island - that it can be tricky to choose where to go. Get some inspiration with our Guide to Sicily. We also suggest a two-centre holiday. Book two villas in two different areas and really get to know the island! You could also fly in and out of Sicily from different airports that are close to the two villas making your travel arrangements even more simple!

  • How can I get around in Sicily?

    The best way to get around Sicily is by car. Public transport is not always reliable, nor is it always efficient, and so to really discover all of the beautiful beaches, towns and sights, we recommend hiring a car. For more details see our Travel to Sicily section.

  • How suitable are the beaches in Sicily for families?

    The beaches in Sicily vary enormously, ranging from wide sweeping beaches with shallow water and white sand to small rocky inlets. Traditional Italian lidi with rows of sun beds and umbrellas are ideal for families but there are also many deserted rocky bays and coves throughout the island. You can find details of the beaches we recommend in the Villa Guidebook that you will receive in your Client Area after booking.

  • How safe is Sicily?

    In spite of the stereotypical clichés, Sicily is a very safe place and provided you take the usual precautions, you should not have any problems. Don't believe all that you see in the films - visit Sicily and you will be met by warm, friendly and kind people!

  • What guarantees do I have when booking with Villatravellers?

  • What financial protection does Villatravellers offer?

    Villatravellers is a fully bonded Italian Tour Operator, and as such is covered by the Il Salvagente Guarantee Fund, that gives consumers financial protection. In the case of insolvency or bankruptcy, consumers are entitled to a reimbursement of the price paid and repatriation in the case of overseas travel, similar to ABTA cover in the United Kingdom. By booking with a registered Tour Operator such as Villatravellers you gain a level of trust and security that booking with an unregistered company cannot offer.

  • How safe is my payment?

    All payments made to Villatravellers are safe and are made through secure payment systems. We guarantee safe payments via credit/debit cards made in our secure booking system.

  • Is Villatravellers registered with ABTA/ATOL?

    As an Italian Tour Operator Villatravellers does not need to be registered with ABTA or ATOL. ABTA is only for UK-registered companies, and ATOL only covers holiday packages that include flights. However, Villatravellers is part of AIAV (The Italian Association of Travel Agents). We are also trade associates of ABTOI (Association of British Travel Organisers to Italy) and are members of the Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the UK as well as ASTA (the American Society of Travel Agents).

  • Should I take out insurance?

    Adequate travel insurance is vital for your holiday in Sicily so it is a requirement to take out your own personal travel insurance when booking with Villatravellers. Many credit card providers also offer financial protection and insurance so please check with your provider.

  • What happens if I have to change my holiday?

    Whilst Villatravellers will try to accommodate a request for a change to your booking, we cannot guarantee that this will be possible.

  • What happens if I have to cancel my holiday?

    There may be cancellation charges, depending on the timing. Full details of our cancellation policy can be found in our Terms & Conditions. Subject to your insurance, you may be able to claim these cancellation charges.

  • What happens if things don't go to plan?

    Don't worry! Villatravellers wants you to have a smooth and enjoyable holiday. Guests are contacted prior to their departure to make sure that everything is on track. In case of any difficulties whilst in Sicily - such as a delayed flight, lost bags etc. - our Local Manager can be contacted 24/7 via telephone. Call, text, or email and they will respond promptly. We maintain contact with our Property Representatives to make sure that everything is OK, and to act as rapidly as possible if it is not.

Booking an experience is simple. Immediate online booking is not available, but you can send us a request for your preferred dates. Enter your credit card details and once availability is confirmed, payment will be processed and your experienced is booked!

Once your booking is confirmed you will be given log in details with which to access your Client Area. Complete your booking making your final payment in this secure area and add your travel details.

What information is in the Client Area?

The Client Area is your go-to place for all information. You will have access to your Villa Guidebook full of helpful hints about the property. You can also create an itinerary of local sights you want to see using our Sicily Guide. The villa’s GPS coordinates are in this area, and you can create your own personal arrival map from the airport. All invoices linked to payments are stored in this area, as well as the Villa Voucher, Experience Voucher (if booked), and Security Deposit Receipt.

Can I book extras through the Client Area?

Yes! If you want to book extras – such as baby cots, high chairs, extra cleaning – during your time in a villa then log in and make your booking straight away in the Client Area! Please book your extras in good time before your arrival as some - pool heating, for example - can take some time to set up. It is always best to give Villatravellers as much notice as possible for any extras required.

When is check-in?

Check-in is from 4:00 pm. On certain occasions, and not during high season, an earlier check-in could be arranged. Late or early check-in must be confirmed with your Villa Specialist well in advance of your arrival. Some villas request an extra payment for late or early check-ins. This will be stated on the villa’s webpage.

What are the arrival arrangements?

Please get in touch with your Local Manager when you are on your way to the villa, so the Property Representative can be informed of your time of arrival. Please ensure you have your travel documents (property voucher and refundable security deposit receipt) to present at check-in.

Who will be waiting for me at the villa?

The Property Representative will be waiting for you at the villa for check-in. They will welcome you to the villa, show you around and answer any questions you may have during check-in. Your Local Manager will be available on the phone at any time during your stay.

Who can I contact for assistance?

Your Local Manager is available via the phone or WhatsApp 24/7 if you should have any difficulties. You can find their details on the Villa Voucher in your Client Area.

Can we organise any experiences when we are at the villa?

We ask that any experiences are requested with at least 48 hours’ notice. However, we will always try our best to accommodate any requests. Experiences can be arranged in your personal Client Area online.

What is the welcome pack you provide?

The welcome pack varies for each villa, and the contents are decided by the villa staff. However, they usually include provisions for your first few hours as well as some essentials. You can expect some basics such as olive oil, some coffee, water, salt, and sugar. The Welcome Pack means that you can be a bit more relaxed about your arrival at the villa, and we suggest that you check what basics are found in the villa, then head to the supermarket to pick up more provisions according to your needs.

Are personal products provided in the villa?

Personal products such as shampoo, conditioner and shower gel are not included. However, you will be provided with basics such as hand soap, washing-up products and laundry detergent.

Certain villas offer a shopping and delivery service. This will be stated on the villa’s webpage. To make use of this service, please get in touch with your Villa Specialist who can arrange everything together with the villa staff.

Are the pools open all year round?

Pools are usually open from around May to October, when Sicily's weather is at its very best. However, if you wish to use a pool during the low season please check to see if individual arrangements are specified on the villa page.

What happens if we damage something at the villa by accident?

We understand that accidents sometimes happen! If something is damaged, the money held as the security deposit will be used to cover the costs. The amount due will be discussed before any charges are made.

What happens if there is a disagreement on the damage with the property owner?

Villatravellers will act as an intermediary between the property owner and the client should there be any disagreements. A fair outcome for both parties is always our intention.

What time is check-out?

Check-out must take place by 10:00 am. If an early check-out is needed, please arrange this with your Villa Specialist prior to your arrival in Sicily or with the Local Manager as soon as possible during your stay.

How does check-out work?

Check-out takes place at 10:00 am. The Property Representative will arrive half an hour before check-out, 09:30 am, to inspect the villa. Please ensure that all your party are fully packed and that the villa is ready for inspection one hour before your check-out time. It is necessary to fully complete the check-out procedure in person. This process gives you an opportunity to discuss any damages and their associated costs with the Property Representative. Before you leave you must complete and sign the security deposit receipt with the Property Representative and keep your own copy for your records. If the customer neglects to carry out the check-out procedure in full, Villatravellers has the right to make a charge to the customer's credit/debit card should any incontestable damages or extra costs be found.

Can we arrange an early check-out?

If you need to leave first thing in the morning due to your flight, we can arrange a check-out on the evening before your departure. The Property Representative will come to complete the check-out procedure and sign the security deposit receipt with you. Please leave the house in good condition as you will be charged for any damages found after your departure. Some villas request an extra payment for early check-outs. This will be stated on the villa’s webpage.

Can we have a late check-out?

Late check-outs are sometimes available, although we cannot guarantee this possibility. Get in touch with your Villa Specialist to discuss whether this option is possible for you.

How suitable are the beaches in Sicily for families?

The beaches in Sicily vary enormously, ranging from wide sweeping beaches with shallow water and white sand to small rocky inlets. Traditional Italian lidi with rows of sun beds and umbrellas are ideal for families but there are also many deserted rocky bays and coves throughout the island. Don't worry! Villatravellers wants you to have a smooth and enjoyable holiday. Guests are contacted prior to their departure to make sure that everything is on track. In case of any difficulties whilst in Sicily - such as a delayed flight, lost bags etc. - our Local Manager can be contacted 24/7 via telephone. Call, text, or email and they will respond promptly. We maintain contact with our Property Representatives to make sure that everything is OK, and to act as rapidly as possible if it is not.
